Well, the Trooper armor is in a multiple of pieces on my bedroom floor. Polished up, and the scuff marks removed to the best of my abilities.

The next step is re-assembling the parts so they fit and can be worn with little issue. I've been reading tons of tip sites on how other built theres and using the better ideas for assembly. But I have to really buckle down and do it now. 

I have 2 major open projects that need to be completed before ComicCon, and there just isn't enough time and money in the world. However I have Tim Gunn telling me to "Make it work, Andre"

So, phase 2 is ready to be started....wish me luck.

Oh...and a side note...when is Tribe NOT down?

Well, it has begun. Rebuilding my trooper armor for Comic Con. Its become much more of an undertaking than I ever expected.

Am I up for it? FUCK YES!

After some research, and shopping at Home Depot, I've got almost everything I need to finish the project in time (I have less than a week). I'm very excited about taking my armor out of the trunk and putting it back on for the first time in what I think is 6 years. I will keep everyone posted on the new method I'm going to try in fitting the armor better for longer use.

The other costumes just need a little maintenance and I'm VERY excited to have something fun to wear every day of the con. 

So those of you attending...keep on the look out. ;-)

Okay, I know I frequently bitch about the behavior of people. The Starbucks report and so forth give you a first hand look with commentary on people and their on going pursuit to be rude, self-centered and just plain ignorant. The past 24 hours have been NO exception. 

So I'll begin like dropping the needle randomly on the turntable...who knows what will play...but here we go.

I made a change today...and I feel good about it.

My head is just lighter now....

I should be sound asleep...instead...

I came home and had to flush three huge dead fish that belonged to our neighbors, needless to say...they got stuck...so I had to work at it a while....then....just as I was ready to lie down and finally go to sleep...

I had to open a can on the fucking homeless outside. FUCK! They decided they wanted to sweep their little surroundings for almost 30 fucking min. I hear Jenn from her room "GOD, what the hell is that!?" And I had enough...and got into a rather colorful shouting match with them...and won. I had no idea how good my projection was until I could hear my voice reverberate off the Smart and Final. They stopped and got very quiet.

Now, I'm all rilled up...and I'm going to attempt to go back to sleep. FUCK!
 

The weekend is over already, and I'm not done yet! 


ARGH! 

I guess it was bound to happen...

 Tonight I went to watch a DVD. Popped it in, switched the TV to DVD...then turned on the stereo receiver....

*pop* *fizzle* *click*......*click*.......*click*

My beautiful 6.1 system is dead. No sound. It won't even power on. I took it apart to see if it was just a blown fuse...nope, power supply is fried. I've had this unit for about 13 years...it was a top of the line of it's time...now....dead.

*moment of very long silence* 

FUCK! Now I need to find a new receiver, and in my search, not very cheap for the sound system I want. I have a very expensive BOSE speaker system that isn't made for just any kind of receiver. GOD DAMNIT!!!!! I'm not swimming in money, so there will be an empty space in my A / V rack for a while :-(

So, for now...all is way too quiet. For an audio whore like me...this is pretty crushing.

So I started thinking, "Hey, what happened to that movie "Fanboys"...wasn't it suppose to be out several months ago?" I never surffaced...what happend?

Well it seems that the studio wants to change the original plot of the story where 4 friends travel to Skywalker Ranch to try and view Episode 1 before their best friend succumbs to cancer. It's a road film about Star Wars geeks and their pursuit to make their friends dream a reality. I'm sure a bittersweet tail, but very funny as well.

The studio feels that if Cancer is mentioned or part of the plot people won't laugh, and are reshooting to cut that plot out all together and instead go for a raunchier more "Superbad" feel. Fans of the story are already protesting it's change saying that the Cancer plot gives the film a heart. Apparently both versions of the film were tested in Burbank in January. The results of those audience tests are currently unknown.

I guess for me the whole foul mouthed sex comedy should be left to the "American Pie" and "Superbad" films where that's the whole of the plot. Get laid, drunk, and possibly busted. This film came off more as a sincere film about fans who go on the ultimate adventure. Loosely based on an actual occurrence where several guys stole a print of the film before it's released, and botched the theft.  It was originally to be directed by Kevin Smith, however he had to leave the production because of Clerks II conflicts. Though he is being added to the re-shoot line up, as well as audio effects from the Lucasfilm vaults (Lucas pre-screened the film and gave his approval), the overall plot re-shoot should be left undone, in my opinion.

It's just my opinion that the Studio should leave well enough alone and keep the sensitive nature of the film that drives these guys to complete this quest to its end.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see. There is still no formal release date for the film.
